Japanese people waste their life by studying abroad

in the us, there are 4000 colleges and universities and 5 types of them.

  • liberal arts college, private university, state universitiy, state college, community college-

and the author recommends liberal arts colleges to us(the Japanese)
liberal-arts-colleges are found to bring up the leader of society, and the purpose of the education is to acquire extensive knowledes rather than special or technical knowledges.
so people there can acquire culture by learning all what they are interested in.
and most of the colleges are small-schale and located in the country, so they have dormitories and live with other students.
so students int the liberal-arts-colleges can find what they want to do by taking a variety of lessons, learn the diffculty of human lerations and meet friends who can get along with in future.
and first of all, do most students aged 18 or so have a clear vision of wht they want to do in future??
and also there are 3 advantages of liberal-arts colleges for the Japanese who study abroad.
1. they can live with their roommates who are American int he dorm.
2. security guards are always in the campus and there are nurse's office.
3. the lessons are small-scale and elitism, so students can follow with the eager aproach by teachers.

to improve one's ability in English, the most effective way is to be in the situation that one must do something by using English or one can't do anything.
but in Japan, the points of English Education are learning English, not learning something in English.
in the case of studying abroad, the ability of English and other academics will improve when they learn not English but in English.
first of all, language is not something to learn but a tool.
a tool will be a weapon to survive by being polished.
people who can speak English will be helpful if they have any ability, but they are not helpful if they have only the ability of English.
